David H. Heath
After high school, I went to Thiel College in Greenville, PA graduating with
a B.A. in mathematics in June, 1969.
I was drafted in July, 1969. The Army sent me to the Defense Language
Institute in Washington D.C. where I learned to speak, read and write
Cambodian. I served as a linguist for a year and a half.
My parents relocated to Missouri in 1970, and I have not returned to
Harrisburg since then.
After I got out of the service in 1972, I took a job in Chicago where I have
lived ever since.
I attended the John Marshall Law School in Chicago receiving a J.D. in 1980
and a LL.M. in 1983. I am admitted to practice before Illinois Courts
and the the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
I have 35 years of Federal Service and have worked for the Office of Federal
Student Aid, U.S. Department of Education for the past 24 years.
My wife Angie and I married in 1975. She is an Audit Manager for the Justice
Department. We have three grown children and five grandchildren.
We are contemplating retirement but are not ready yet.
